BECOME A SPONSOR
We aim to redefine the concept of sponsorship, transcending mere financial assistance.
Our goal is to nurture a meaningful connection between sponsors and sponsored children.
Children living in conditions of extreme poverty often lack a support system and encouragement.
We understand that a sponsor's significance goes beyond covering school fees; sponsors can demonstrate to young individuals that they are truly valued and worth investing in.
How our Sponsorships Work.
We run sponsorship programs to enable children from Maasai communities to access education, with a primary focus on those residing in Kajiado County.
The objective of our sponsorship initiatives is to provide comprehensive support for students as they progress through school, equipping them with all the resources they need to excel academically.
We take a holistic approach, considering practical, cultural, and emotional factors that can impact a child's success in school.
We work closely with families and the community to secure their approval and consent for a child's education. We emphasize the significance and transformative power of education to families. In cases of financial constraints, we extend support to ensure that children are not forced to work outside of school to support their families.
In Maasai culture, young girls are often married off at a young age to provide financial support to their families. While this practice may seem distressing, it has persisted for years. In many Maasai communities, fathers may perceive no alternative but to marry off their daughters to secure financial stability for their other children and wives.
Our efforts aim to foster a genuine connection between sponsors and sponsored children. Children living in extreme poverty often lack a support system and encouragement.
We recognize that a sponsor's role transcends that of covering school fees; a sponsor can demonstrate to a young person that they are valued and deserving of investment.
We encourage our sponsors to correspond with their sponsored children, and vice versa. This communication is facilitated and monitored by teachers and our project managers, ensuring a positive and nurturing relationship between sponsors and children
THE SPONSOR.
WHAT ARE YOU PAYING FOR WHEN YOU SPONSOR A CHILD?
-
School Fees.
-
Exams.
-
Accommodation.
(if this is needed due to lack of school in community).
-
Uniform.
-
School books and stationary.
In order for a child to attend school, they must possess the necessary school materials and uniform; otherwise, they may be sent home by their teachers. It is crucial to ensure that every child is adequately equipped for academic success.
We fully understand that not everyone is in a position to cover the entire cost of a child's school-related expenses. If you can contribute partially, we match two donors to each child to ensure they have the support they need to remain in school.
WHAT ARE YOU COMMITING TO?
The reason we invest into education is because we understand it have the ability to help a child access greater opportunities in their future. Our focus is to make sure ever child successfully completes their:
PRIMARY, SECONDARY, HIGH SCHOOL & TERTIARY EDUCATION.
We do not conclude our commitment to a child until we are certain that we have provided them with every conceivable opportunity to nurture their strengths and pave the way for the brightest possible future.
COSTS:
Expenses vary significantly based on the child's educational grade or level, whether they need to enroll in a boarding school, if accommodation is necessary, or if they are pursuing tertiary education.
FINDING THE RIGHT MATCH!
If you are considering sponsoring a child, we first discuss:
-
What you can comfortably commit to spending per year.
-
The duration you are comfortable sponsoring a child - If you are able to commit to the fee increase as a child progresses through their education.
-
Personally who you are passionate about supporting - if you would like to support the education of a girl avoiding marriage, or if you would like to keep a Maasai boy in school instead of herding cattle.
